MOTION CAPTURE

This is an example of my abilities in motion capture. In this piece I used raw data given out from a motion capture session. I cleaned all of the data and removed any issues. Then I added mouth movement, hand movement and any expressions seen as the data only gave out basic body movements. This is the result, a smooth, realistic animation that reads well and is pleasing to the eye

HAND CRAFTED ANIMATION

Although I love motion capture, my real passion as an animator is hand animation. Here is a quick example of one of my pieces that is going to be a part of a larger cinematic piece.

WILLING TO LEARN

I currently have been using software such as Maya, 3ds Max and Maya Lite to animate with. However, if a project were to require different software to that which I know I would always be willing to learn and develop new skills using my previous knowledge.

Hi, my name is Tom Ingley and I am a Games Animator. I specialise in 3D animation using software such as 3ds Max, Maya or Maya Lite. I am always willing to learn new approaches to animation to further improve my skill set. I favor in game animations but have also studied cinematic animation too. I am able to create hand crafted animations from scratch or even use motion capture systems to get clean and professional data.

ANIMATOR

I have experience with creating animations by hand in multiple pieces of software and am always willing to learn new methods and programs if necessary, using my knowledge as a basis I should be able to adapt my skills to most if not all programs. I also have experience in motion capture. Both the process of gathering raw data and cleaning and editing said data into a complete animation. I also have a lot of experience with the Unreal 4 engine. Whether it be placing my created animations into the engine, setting up scenes or creating sets of animations using blueprint I have a lot of versatile experience with this engine.

TEAM WORK AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS

Through funding from the Speed Plus project I managed to get a team of 14 to help me set up a functioning Games Development company. I was the project lead for the yearlong placement and we were able to work on our first title that.  This year taught me many things including the importance of working well in a team and it also taught me a lot about what it means to lead a project.

ABOUT ME

I am a friendly and intellectual individual that strives to be hard working and proactive. I have experience working in customer service and some limited experience in retail. I have had a great deal of experience working within a team. The experience I have had in these areas have helped me develop and hone new skills within the industry.
I am currently available and keen to start employment and I am looking for opportunities with an open mind. I am very flexible in regards to hours of work and feel extremely confident that given opportunity I would be able to quickly demonstrate my skills, experience and hardworking attitude.
